Made in the USA, the kitchen canister is shaped by hand on the potter’s wheel, intricately painted by hand, and kiln-fired for a strong, permanent finish. The Blackbird motif features rich black and white glazes hand-painted atop the natural red-russet color of the terra cotta clay. With its clean, glossy glaze the design combines contemporary styling with old world charm. Heavy and substantial, the countertop jar stands 8.5″, ideal for storing coffee, sugar, seeds, and more. The handsome canister includes a companion scooping spoon, also handmade in the USA. Cast in solid pewter, the scoop has a 1 tablespoon volume. The canister made with lead-free glazes and safe for use in the dishwasher.
